Speaker: Jimmy Nsenga

Company/ Institute: CETIC

Event: 6th work meeting

Date: 6 December 2010

Abstract:

CETIC, the Centre of Excellence in Information and Communication Technologies, focuses on applied research and technology transfer in the field of software engineering, Service oriented technologies and embedded systems. CETIC is a connecting agent between academic research and industrial companies. Up to now, CETIC is composed by 40 employees working in 3 research departments.
This talk introduces our activities and expertise in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). We briefly present our research studies on:

  • network topology reconfiguration,
  • low power platform design,
  • middleware for heterogeneous WSNs,
  • energy-aware collaborative beamforming techniques for long-haul communication.
