Abstract:
Michiel presents an application-centric software architecture for the development of IoT applications. The architecture comprises software abstractions and guidelines for tackling typical challenges in IoT ecosystems such as interoperability and context-based loading of IoT devices. The architecture further focuses on providing intuitive interfaces to application developers and provides support for both cloud-based and direct sensor interactions. An Android framework is presented that facilitates the adoption of the architecture.
