The KU Leuven joins via its LEUVEN Center on Information and Communication Technology (LICT). This multi-disciplinary research center combines the complimentary expertise and experiences of electronics engineers, computer scientists and sociologists in the ICT field at the KU Leuven. The centre of attention of the wireless systems research line is wireless and RF circuits and systems in all their aspects, ranging from telecommunication systems to RF frontends and devices. Research activities include the development of models for transistors and circuits, propagation studies of emerging wideband wireless telecommunication systems, the design of high-performant and compact circuits and subsystems at millimeter-wave frequencies, the development of measurement equipment, the design of wideband and reconfigurable RF circuits for wireless communication in the GHz range, and the design of ultra-low-power hardware circuits for wireless sensor network nodes.
