CETIC is a Centre of Excellence in Information and Communication Technologies located in Gosselies (Charleroi), focusing on applied research and technology transfer in the field of software engineering, service-oriented technologies and embedded systems. CETIC is a connecting agent between academic research and industrial companies. Its work ranges from applied research projects (European and Walloon) to service missions for Walloon SMEs.
Its department of Embedded and Communication Systems (ECS) has developed a strong expertise in the integration of embedded systems, including hardware and software, based on wireless technologies. It mainly focuses on intelligent communicating wireless systems for a wide range of applications, from transport and logistics to eHealth, as well as home automation, … It develops prototypes, APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and applications enabling efficient solutions to industrial problems. It has a long experience in programmable logic and in soft processors embedded in FPGAs.
