Speaker: Guy Vandenbosch

Company/ Institute: KU Leuven – ESAT

Event: 8th work meeting

Date: 18 October 2011

Abstract:

In this presentation, first we will explain the main characteristics of electromagnetic radiation, produced by existing wireless applications nowadays. Then, we will explain the core ideas behind strategies aiming at reducing the radiation intensity, both at societal level and at user level. The basic line of reasoning is ALATA: radiation should be made as low as technically achievable, at an economic viable cost, without seriously compromising connectivity.
