Speaker: Jorge Pereira
Jorge Perreira recieved his degree in electrical and computer engineering (1987) from the Instituto Superior Técnico in Portugal and a Ph. D. Degree in Electrical engineering (1993) from the University of Southern California. Since 2005 he is involved as principal scientific officer in the European commission, in the Directorate-General Information Society and Media, Emerging Technologies and Infrastructures Directorate. He is responsible for Future Internet Research and Exploration (FIRE) – testbeds and Large Scale Deployments. Additionally he is active in the Future internet forum and as Associate editor for ACM Transactions on Sensor Networks and Mobile Radio/VTS magazine of the IEEE Vehicular Technological Society.
